The journal reports the latest advances in cell biology, immunology, physiology, microbiology, genetics, and neurobiology of gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary, and pancreatic health and disease. Reviews are handled fairly and rapidly by the Editors with assistance of an expert editorial board and external reviews. Following rigorous peer review, accepted manuscripts are available online within days of the final decision.
