The journal is devoted to articles on detection, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cancer and provides a global forum for the nurturing and development of future generations of oncology scientists. Specific areas of interest include basic, translational, and clinical research and mechanistic approaches in all tumor types; cancer biology; molecular carcinogenesis; cancer genetics and genomics; cancer stem cells; molecular and cellular oncology; systems biology; immuno-oncology; chemoprevention strategies; gene and antisense therapy; the pathology of cancer, prognostic and predictive markers; drug sensitivity and resistance and novel treatment strategies to impact patient care. The journal also accepts clinical studies in oncology, with an emphasis on prospective early phase clinical trials. Our mission is to be the premier source of relevant information through promoting excellence in research and facilitating the timely translation of that science to health care and clinical practice. Peer reviewed types of articles include Original Reports, Reviews and Editorials.
